Les mines de silex préhistoriques à Mons et Spiennes
Rencontre internationale sur les mines de silex préhistoriques à Mons et Spiennes du 28 septembre au 1er octobre 2016.
Cette rencontre internationale est organisée par la Commission Mines de silex pré- et protohistoriques de l’Union internationale des Sciences pré- et protohistoriques (UISPP). Des chercheurs de toute l’Europe (Allemagne, Autriche, Belgique, Bulgarie, Espagne, France, Hongrie, Italie, Pologne, Royaume-Uni et Serbie) viendront présenter leurs travaux les mercredi 28 et jeudi 29 septembre au Museum régional des Sciences naturelles de Mons.
Le mercredi 28 septembre 2016 à 20h, Jacques Pelegrin, directeur de recherche au CNRS, nous fera l’honneur de présenter une conférence sur « Les grandes lames en silex de l’Europe du Néolithique et alentour » (conférence en français) à l’auditoire Van Gogh de l’Université de Mons. Cette conférence est ouverte à tous, congressistes et non-congressistes.
Les vendredi 30 septembre et samedi 1er octobre 2016, les congressistes pourront visiter les minières de Petit-Spiennes et du Camp-à-Cayaux, le Silex’s, les fouilles en cours, le site en surface et différents affleurements du bassin de Mons.
Le colloque est organisé par le Service public de Wallonie en collaboration avec la Société de Recherche préhistorique en Hainaut, la Ville de Mons, le Museum régional des Sciences naturelles de Mons, le Silex’S, la cellule SciTech² de l’UMons et l’asbl La Malogne.
Le colloque se déroule uniquement en anglais.
